Uploading with CuteFTP

Setting up CuteFTP to allow file transfers

  1. Click Start, Programs, GlobalSCAPE then CuteFTP.
  2. When CuteFTP opens it should display the Site Manager Window. If not, click File and Site Manager.
  3. Click General FTP Sites, then click New.
  4. Within Label for site enter Madasafish Webspace.
  5. Within FTP Host Address enter www.users.madasafish.com or your domain name.
  6. Within FTP site User Name enter your username.
  7. Within FTP site Password enter your password.
  8. The FTP site connection port should already be set to 21.
  9. From Login Type select Normal.
  10. Click on Edit and then Advanced.
  11. From Transfer Type select Auto-detect.
  12. Click on the General tab.
  13. The Host Type should be set to Auto-detect.
  14. Default Remote Directory should be blank.
  15. Within Default Local Directory enter the path on your local machine where your HTML files are located i.e. C:\My_webspace\HTMLfiles
    Note: If you are unsure of you local path leave Default Local Directory blank.
  16. Click Ok.

Uploading Files

  1. Within Site Manager click Madasafish Webspace.
  2. Click Connect.
  3. To upload files to your webspace, highlight the desired file(s) from your local drive and drag them to the required destination directory on the remote drive.
    Note: The local drive is your hard disk drive and is located on the left of the CuteFTP window. The remote drive is the webspace you have been allocated by Madasafish and is located on the right of the CuteFTP window.

Uploading with WS_FTP

Setting up WS_FTP to allow file transfers

  1. Click Start, Programs, WS_FTP then WS_FTP95 LE.
  2. When WS_FTP LE opens it should display the Session Properties Window. If not, click Connect.
  3. Click New.
  4. Within Profile Name enter Madasafish Webspace.
  5. Within Host Name/Address enter www.users.madasafish.com or your domain name.
  6. Within User ID enter your username.
  7. Within Password enter your password.
  8. The Host Type should be set to Automatic detect.
  9. Account should be blank.
  10. Click on Startup.
  11. Leave Initial Remote Site Folder blank.
  12. Within Initial Local Folder enter the path on your local machine where your HTML files are located i.e. C:\My_webspace\HTMLfiles
    Note: If you are unsure of you local path leave Initial Local Folder blank.
  13. Click Apply.

Uploading Files

  1. Within Session Properties, click the drop-down arrow next to Profile Name and select Madasafish Webspace.
  2. Click OK.
  3. To upload files to your webspace, highlight the desired file(s) from your local drive and drag them to the required destination directory on the remote drive.
    Note: The local drive is your hard disk drive and is located on the left of the WS_FTP LE window. The remote drive is the webspace you have been allocated by Madasafish and is located on the right of the WS_FTP LE window.

Uploading with Fetch FTP

Setting up Fetch FTP to allow file transfers

  1. Click Fetch 4.0.3, within the Fetch 4.0.3 Folder.
  2. When Fetch opens it should display the New Connection window.
  3. Within Host enter www.users.madasafish.com or your domain name.
  4. Within User ID enter your username.
  5. Within Password enter your password.
  6. Click the small arrow to display the advanced options.
  7. Leave Initial directory blank.
  8. Non-standard port number should be left blank.
  9. Click on the double arrows next to Shortcuts and then click Create New Shortcut.
  10. Enter the name Madasafish Webspace and click OK.
  11. Click Cancel.

Uploading Files

  1. Open Fetch, click the small arrow and select Madasafish Webspace from the shortcuts list.
  2. Click OK.
  3. To upload files to your webspace, click Put Files, locate the files you want to upload and click Open. On the Put File window, click OK again.
