How to use voicemail
Voicemail offers the caller the option of recording a message if your line is engaged or unanswered.
Voicemail Standard
Voicemail Standard is a free feature with all Madasafish Talk Subscriptions. You can upgrade to Voicemail Plus or turn off the service at any time through My Account.
How to use Voicemail Standard
You'll know if you have a message waiting when you hear an interrupted dial tone. Dial 1 5 7 1 from your phone and follow these instructions.
Your messages will play automatically in date and time order.
- To listen to the message again press 1
- To save the message press 2
- To delete the message press 3
Voicemail Standard stores your saved messages for 3 days. You need to resave the messages you wish to keep after the 3 day period. The caller will be able to record messages up to 2 minutes long and you can have up to 10 messages saved at any one time. Messages you have not heard will be saved for 21 days after which they will be deleted.
Voicemail Plus
You can add or remove Voicemail Plus from your Talk package at any time through My Account. Voicemail Plus allows the caller the option of recording a message if your line is engaged or unanswered. The caller will be able to record messages up to 5 minutes long and stores up to 30 messages. You're able to record your own personalised greeting and access your voicemail when you're away from home using a secure PIN.
How to set up Voicemail Plus
- To enter voicemail press 1 5 7 1
- Enter the temporary PIN which is 1234
- Enter your preferred 4 digit PIN followed by #
- Record your personal greeting followed by #
- To exit set up press *
How to use Voicemail Plus

- Enter your 4 digit PIN followed by #
Listening to your messages
- To listen to a message press 1
- To replay the last message press 1
- To pause the message up to 2 minutes while listening press 5
- To resume play press 5
- To rewind for 8 seconds press 4
- To fast forward for 8 seconds press 6
- To save the message press 2
- To return to the previous message press 4
- To skip to the last message press 5
- To delete the message press 3
Press 2 to change your Voicemail Plus options
- To change your 4 digit PIN setting press 1
- To turn the 4 digit PIN off press 2
- To turn the 4 digit PIN on press 1
- To change your 4 digit PIN press 3
- To change your personal greeting press 2
- To record your name press 1
- To change your message notification press 3
- To turn off press 2
- To turn on press 1
- To return to the main menu press *
- To exit Voicemail press *
Check your messages from another phone using Voicemail Plus
There are 2 ways to listen to your messages when you're away from home
1) Quick Dial
- Dial your home telephone number
- On hearing the greeting press *
- Enter your 4 digit PIN and press #
- Follow the instructions just like you would do from home
2) Direct Dial
- Dial into the voicemail system using your remote access number
- To find out your remote access number dial 1 5 7 1 from your home phone, key in your 4 digit PIN followed by 0. A prompt will tell you your remote access number.
- Enter your phone number in the international format without the first 0 followed by #
- Enter your 4 digit PIN and press #
Calls to remotely access your voicemail are chargeable. As a security measure entering the PIN incorrectly three times will terminate the call.
