How does Parental Control Work
Parental Control is considered an End Point software solution. This simply means a piece of software that physically resides on a device at the end of a network - in this case your home computer(s).
As the software is actually installed on your computer, it is ideally placed to act as a guardian for you - monitoring harmful activity, taking appropriate actions and then reporting back to you.
Some of the rules that Parental Control will follow, are predetermined by us but most of them are set by you, via your online Control Centre. The software is programmed to talk to our databases every minute when you are using your Internet connection. As well as receiving its new instructions, Parental Control will also report back on the activities it has been asked to monitor - the data it reports back is held on our central Parental Control databases, so that you can access your data from anywhere.
This unique process ensures that you are constantly protected - in real time!
