How to use Smart Divert

Smart Divert

Smart Divert is Call Diversion with Remote Control which gives you the ability to operate the diversion functionality remotely. It provides greater flexibility than basic Call Diversion as it can be remotely activated at any time. Calls can be diverted to another number anywhere in the UK, most overseas destinations and mobile phones. You need an access number and PIN to use this feature. Smart Divert can be activated from any telephone that has a Touch-Tone (Multi-frequency) capability, in a similar way to Call Diversion.

1) Divert codes for Smart Divert-Remote Control

  • 44 - to divert all calls
  • 64 - to divert calls not answered in 15 seconds
  • 65 - to divert calls if your phone is engaged

To divert calls:

  • Dial your access number and wait for dial tone
  • Enter * Divert code from the list above followed by *
  • Enter your PIN followed by *
  • Enter your full phone number (inc. STD) followed by *
  • Enter the phone number to divert to (inc. STD) followed by #

To cancel Smart Divert:

  • Dial your access number and wait for dial tone
  • Enter # followed by your divert code from the list above and *
  • Enter your PIN followed by *
  • Enter your full phone number followed by #

To check Smart Divert

  • Dial your access number and wait for dial tone
  • Enter * # followed by your divert code from the list above and *
  • Enter your PIN followed by *
  • Enter your full phone number followed by #

2) Divert codes for Smart Divert from your own phone

  • 21 - to divert all calls
  • 61 - to divert calls not answered in 15 seconds
  • 67 - to divert calls if your phone is engaged

To divert calls:

  • Enter * followed by your divert code from above and *
  • Enter the phone number to divert to followed by #

To cancel Smart Divert

  • Enter # followed by the divert code from above and #

To check Smart Divert

  • Enter * # followed by your divert code from above and #

Once the code has been entered an announcement will confirm if the instruction was successful.

If you happen to enter the PIN or the telephone number incorrectly, just replace the receiver and restart the process.
